Kevlar® is the registered trademark for DuPont’s family of aramid fibers having a unique combination of high strength, high modulus, toughness and exceptional thermal stability. These properties offer the means to increase strength and reduce the weight of reinforcement, as well as extend the useful wear life in a variety of cable designs.
Kevlar®49 brand yarn performs very high modulus and very low elongation with almost zero thermal shrinkage.
