This product has been designed for the protection of optical fiber cables against pellets fired by hunters in green areas.
Our raw material is Kevlar®29 or equivalent para-aramid yarn.
It is mainly used to protect ADSS cables.
Its particular performance, dispersing the impact energy, confers this tape with exceptional protection characteristics. Tests carried out by the principle international telecom companies and cable manufacturers prove the reliability of this type of shielding.
Protection has been demonstrated against shots from calibre 12 hunting guns and calibre 5, 6 and 7 pellets from a distance of 20 metres without affecting the transmission conditions of the optical fibers. The thicker and denser the tape is the more effective it is. Its effectiveness has to be analysed together with the other materials used to produce the cable.
Tapes are currently supplied on rolls.
Packaging in cartons with long lengths of tape folded in zig-zag available upon request.
